About VIWA WOOD - Marineplywood
VIWA WOOD Aps produces and markets plywood of the highest quality. Employees with more than 30 years of experience and expert knowledge work with us, as we know that it is the people who work with the veneer that matter.
In 1973, Per Wamberg helped found the production of marine plywood at Falster and since then we have delivered to the leading shipyards in Europe. Today Thomas Wamberg runs the company, and together with the skilled employees, we produce marine plywood and other gluing jobs for industry in Europe.
In production we have 3 modern veneer jointing plants. In addition, there are 3 presslines which work with an exact pressure of 10 kilos per cm2. The production processs end at the 2 automatic plastering lines.
One of the unique things about us is that we can handle the composition of veneers from 0,5 to 3,5 mm thickness and in formats up to 3,4 meters long and 3,2 meters wide, as well as press formats up to 5,2 x 2,1 meters.
We are located in the southern part of Denmark, more precisely on the island of Falster in the town Stubbekøbing. It is approximately 120 km south of Copenhagen – so to be connected to the rest of Europe via Germany, with only 45 minutes by car.
The employees come from all over Falster. A large number have worked for many years in the company, and some with more than 30 years of experience in the industy.
